Our grand vision for STRANGE ALLIES: an open-world galaxy of possibilities
Important Note: This is NOT the game you can play today—this is the game we want STRANGE ALLIES to become!
You are the captain of a light cargo ship. You have a small crew, limited funds, and a galaxy to explore. It's up to you how you will eke out a living to make some money—and a name—for yourself.
Want to be a trader? Spacestations, the commercial and logistical hubs of the galaxy, will allow you to buy and sell a variety of items. Not every station will sell the same things, though, and different stations will offer differing items and prices depending on a range of variables.
Or perhaps you'll take that quick, easy, perilous step down into the criminal underworld and be a smuggler? The Law will be an ever-present threat, especially near stations, but the potential rewards may make the risks worthwhile.
Or maybe you'll eschew trading for goods in favor of taking what you want as a pirate? It's an exciting lifestyle choice, but you'd better be ready to fight your way out of trouble.
Or will you be a bounty hunter and take on pirate-hunting bounties for galactic bail bondsmen or local Law officers? It's dangerous work, but it pays well.
Whichever path you choose, the money you earn will enable you to enhance your ship's equipment and crew to improve its overall capabilities, enabling you to take on the more dangerous, more lucrative jobs. But space is unforgiving—keeping yourself and your crewmates alive, and your ship in one piece, will be a constant challenge.
